You are voting for your ATPL starting XI and the results for the Left Back have been decided.
With 59%, you have decided that Stuart Pearce will be representing the side.
He was followed up in second place by Dennis Irwin a long way behind with 18% of the votes.
In joint third was Nigel Winterburn, Graeme Le Saux and Ashley Cole each with 5%.
So what I can I tell you briefly about Stuart 'Psycho' Pearce? Stuart started his career as a semi-pro playing for Wealdstone in 1978, before being spotted and snapped up by Coventry for £30,000 in 1983. He played for Coventry for 2 seasons before moving on to Nottingham Forrest. Here he played for 12 years, including an up and down again time between the Premier League and Division 1. He made the FA Cup final twice in his career, once for Nottingham Forrest and once for Newcastle United, the team he left Forrest to join. On both occasions however Pearce was a runner up in the FA Cup, although he did score a rather memorable goal for Forrest against Tottenham. Pearce played his final two seasons in the Premiership for West Ham in 1999 - 2001 and whilst there won the Intertoto Cup.
His final club playing days were as captain of Manchester City, taking them to win The Division One title. His club aim was to reach 100 career goals, which he had the chance to do 4 minutes into stoppage time in the final game of the season against Pompey.... but he missed.
After his playing career Pearce went on to manage City, and worked his way through the ranks until he became caretaker in 2005. He managed them until 2007, before being sacked and moving on to take the job as England under 21 coach.
Next up is left midfield or winger, so go and vote now!
