Kids for a fiver/Cup ticket prices

Pompey have announced a 'kids for five quid' scheme for several games this season and also revealed ticket prices for uefa cup, FA cup and league cup games this season.

FANTASTIC JUNIOR TICKET OFFERS

Supporters buying tickets for the Premier League clash with Middlesbrough at Fratton Park on Saturday, September 13 can also take two juniors for just £5 each.

Pompey Blue members can book Junior Blues tickets for this game in the members` priority booking period between August 26-28. Tickets go on general sale from Monday, September 1.

Also, buy an adult ticket for the home matches against Wigan on Saturday, November 1 and Blackburn on November 29 and you can take a junior to both matches for just £5.

Pompey Blue members can book Junior Blues tickets for these games in the members' priority booking period between October 6-9. Season ticket holders can buy extra tickets between October 10-11, before they go on general sale from Monday, October 13. This offer ends at 3pm on Saturday, November 1.

Both of these offers are only available for tickets bought in the Apollo (Milton) End.

2008/9 HOME CUP TICKET PRICES

Pompey have announced their ticket prices for cup matches at Fratton Park in the 2008/9 season.

FA Cup:
Adults: £25
Seniors: £15
Young person season ticket holders (17-21): £15
Juniors: £5

Carling Cup:
Adults: £20
Seniors: £10
Young person season ticket holders: £10
Juniors: £5

UEFA Cup (1st Round/Group Stage/Last 32):
Adults: £20
Seniors: £10
Young person season ticket holders: £10
Juniors: £5

These prices apply to all areas of the ground.

Supporters who have completed their home cup forms will automatically be included in all of the above cup matches. If you wish to be excluded from automatic ticket allocation for these games, please write to the ticket office.

Away season ticket holders will automatically be included in the away match ticket allocation for UEFA Cup games. If you wish to be excluded from this, please write to the ticket office.

That is good news! I see the United tickets have not sold out yet. Maybe something to do with the dodgy platinum scheme!

The platinum scheme is doomed to failure. Great news though about the cut-price tickets. Last season there were plenty of £5 tickets for kids but, for some reason, the club didn't publicise it. Inter Milan ticket £20, EasyJet to Milan £59, Peter Crouch £11m, the look on Tony's face when we win the UEFA cup, priceless.

It is good news and needs to be rewarded with good crowds for UEFA games especially. Peter Storrie last week at the fans forum said the club must have full houses for UEFA games or they will cost big money. Apparently there is very little prize money in the competition compared to the Champions League.
