I will see you in The Torch...

I will see you in The Torch...

Before most Pompey games at Fratton - and our second home of Wembley - we here at Vital Pompey try to organise a meet up so we can have a drink and a chat prior to the game. This invitation is always an open one, with all welcome!

So, ahead of the charity shield - I know it is not called the charity shield anymore, but that it what it will always be to me - on Sunday anyone that is interested is invited to join me, and I assume others at The Torch, which is just off Wembley Way... If you do not know where it is Google it and you will find a map.

Several from this site met at this pub prior to the FA cup final.

As my party were running slightly later than planned and wanted to soak in all the atmosphere we went into the ground early - as this is a day for the fans, a day for us to enjoy with nothing to lose I am not in such a hurry to make my way in this time so I should be there, or thereabouts with my brother, sister-in-law, cousin and our mate Saunders from around noon onwards I would suggest so come along.

Some of my travelling companions from the years will also be joining the party - with one fella needing to be passed a ticket anyway so he had to turn up with them - with them arriving around 1.30ish.

So, if you can and indeed if you even want to why not come along for a chat and a drink before we beat Manyoo on Sunday. Remember, as said the invitation is open to all...

If you need my, or anyone else's contact details just give a shout below saying so, drop me an email or a private message and it will be sorted. Do not post mobile numbers below though guys, as that is a very bad idea!

Good luck on Sunday guys, would be nice to see you get one over them after the Nigeria clash, give us all a bit of hope ahead of the new season that the gap is indeed closing rather than widening.

I will indeed be heading to The Torch for a drinky poo before the game. There was a cracking atmosphere there before the FA Cup final and hopefully it will be just as good this time. To all that are going, just remember that the toilets are in the front left of the pub as you go in through the doors! The bar is straight infront of you!

We know Danny you want to stay!

In case we had forgot Hollands has reminded us of his desire to stay with Pompey! I'm not 'desperate' either way in many ways but sorting this quickly would be best for all concerned.

Three more pre-season games announced

'Glamour ties' are loved but pre-season is about fitness and form so it doesn't matter if it's Barcelona or Bognor... Then again a trip to the Nou Camp wouldn't be turned down!

Sheffield United loanee open to Pompey return

McNulty would welcome a permanent transfer to Pompey. Although the Sheffield United striker could well be part of new manager Wilder's plans, so the chances seem 50:50 at best?
