Please, no autographs!
When a BBC producer for match of the day got in contact with me last November about Vital Pompey helping them with a feature to be aired on match of the day 2 I managed to put something together to make this happen - but I had to miss out as I could not make it...
Then when I was contacted by Elisa Mitchell from ITV Meridian to help her with a feature on ticket touting, again I did my bit to help, but again sadly had to miss out on the filming as I could not make it!
Finally though 'the landlord' has his moment in the spotlight as I am featured in this months - September, no.169 - issue of FourFourTwo magazine .
Part of Vital Football's link-up with FourFourTwo saw them approach me to give an interview about Pompey ahead of the new season - although I was not the only editor approached, as I believe all Vital editors were, but nevertheless pompeyrug sees his words, albeit quite heavily edited featured in the 'season preview 2008-09 supplement'...
I was actually made aware of the fact that the issue was on sale when a member of this site contacted me, simply saying something like '442? You media superstar!' At first I was confused - not hard! - then it registered and I realised what they meant.
So there you have it, Rug sees his name and words in print in one of the biggest and best monthly football magazines there is, with Vital Pompey also given a nice plug, as the sites address was also published at the end of my words - maybe these will inspire more to join us, if for nothing else but to say what a load of crap I was speaking :-)
One thing that I will share is that I have Marc Wilson penned as a player to watch for us this season. If you want to know what else I said you will have to by the magazine I am afraid - and no I am not on commission - as I did yesterday, although if you do not want this maybe you can find someone that has...

quality!! lets get some new people on here!! u think wilson can break into the 1st team ... not sure harry will do that just yet - but u are the landlord lol. i see celtic have bid £2.5m for davis ... take it pompey ... then pay ure silly £1.225m tax bill to get kaboul. forget shorey and swp and lets go in to the season with optimism!

Can't say I have ever seen 442 on sale anywhere, although I have never really looked to be honest. Glad the spotlight finally reached you Landlord.

Hopefully this will be the end of 'missing out' for 'the landlord' my son!! The first of many articles to come I am sure as Vital Pompey goes from strength to strength.
