Shaun Wright-Phillips has told the Chelsea Site that he is happy at Chelski and is not looking to move, which pretty much ends our hopes of signing him - which seemed pretty slim anyway: 'It's nice for the boss to say I am important part of the squad and I am not really a person to quit on anything either.
'I can fight for my place as long as I am here and will continue to do so.'
It is thought that Wright-Phillips has impressed new Chelski boss Phil Scolari this summer during pre-season, with him praising the England man last weekend.
So it appears that he is happy warm the bench at Chelski much like his teammate Wayne Bridge, in which case we are probably better off without him as we would only want players coming to Pompey that want to play - if he is happy to carry on with Chelski like he has done so over the past couple of years so be it...
Although, in all fairness to Wright-Phillips maybe, just maybe the arrival of Scolari at Chelski could finally kick start his career at Stamford Bridge?

Ipswich have been heavily linked with a renewed bid for Dave Nugent, with their manager Jim Magilton recently adding fuel to this fire with his words that he would like to rekindle their interest.
However the club have denied that any approach has been made to Pompey yet despite the speculation... The key word is 'yet' - they did not say that they would not be making an approach...
All we can do with this one is sit and wait, then see what happens! It seems a non-starter on so many levels, but it is a move that you think Pompey would be pressing to see happen?
==========
And finally French legend Lilian Thuram has tipped Lassana Diarra for big things.
I am not quite sure if he meant that Diarra could go onto captain France as he once did, but I think he was? Either way this is what he said: 'I believe a lot in Lassana Diarra. He is someone who can bring something else.
'He is a midfielder, and that role requires character. He can help other players around him.'
Quite a glowing recommendation from a man that was one of the worlds finest, who won a record number 142 French caps.
Thuram retired from the game on Friday after being diagnosed with a heart condition, although he was 36 so he had a very good innings, and without wanting to be harsh was maybe an innings that should have ended sooner than it did?
So, what do we think guys? Thought on all the above please...
