Krumah to join Norwich on loan

He has not technically signed for Pompey yet, but Omar Krumah is already lined up for a loan move to Norwich with the Norwich Site confirming this.

Krumah, better known as OJ to us, had a successful trial period with us during pre-season and this prompted Harry Redknapp to snap him up. Pending international clearance from the Gambian FA this will happen - then he will be off to Norwich on loan for the season!

This move can only do him good, and will hopefully see us benefit in the future...

Also, you might have read that Redknapp and our FA cup winning squad have been granted the freedom of the city for our heroics last season - congratulations to them all, this is well deserved. Next up is the quest to see the manager become Sir Harry!

Yes get him signed up & then loaned out.
storagematt
this will be good for him because he is too young to play for the 1sr team so send him out on loan he will gain experience
stfc ballboy
Krumah or Koroma, it will be a good deal for all concerned.
eastneydave
Wish are main targets could be wrapped up this quick!

Norwich will do him good, nice little footballing team.
pentonpompey
Sounds like a good arrangement to me - he certainly sounds promising.
tracyc
yep, whatever his name is - i will just call him OJ from now on - it will do him good. hopefully he can come back and make the grade here...
pompeyrug
From what I've read he seems like a good prospect. If he only goes out on a 6 month loan, Harry may have an idea of bringing him into the team in the 2nd half of the season. Age is not a barrier - I watched John Wilshire and the younger players at Arsenal during the week. They looked sharp and good prospects for their first team this year and they are only young.
frattonaussie
Definately KOROMA and not Krumah ... Norwich had to issue an official apology on their site yesterday ... but under the picture of him left it as Krumah....Doh ! It's a bit like Benjani and Yakubu all over again
Chix
Well we can continue to call him OJ. Or Korma?
tracyc
im keeping it simple, OJ for me... we'll hopefully see this fella next season - 2009/10.
pompeyrug
I'm guessing his nickname will be 'Simpson'....(think about it). From the reports I've read of his appearances thus far he sounds an exciting prospect. Could be just what the Canaries need this season, and a good 'un for us in the future. For a player of his young age to attract Arry's attention, he must be special.....Arry's never been a great one for gambling on kids.
Tantona
Agree Tantona, I just hope he develops at Norwich and becomes everything Harry hopes he will be in the future .. Re the names I think the simple 'OJ' is the best bet ..but Simpson or even Bart (tenuous!) could be a good nickname
Chix
Good move for us and Norwich
sneakay
It's funny, 'arry doesn't gamble on kids...well, not at Pompey anyway, and never has done, but what about at West Ham. He bought through Lampard, Carrick, Ferdinand, Cole, Johnson....the list goes on. Why does he not use the kids here? Remember he sent GoN out on loan etc etc.
pompey4me
Now today its official he has a two year deal.
