Stade de Farce

Another shock to come out of fratton the other day..

The stadium will be delayed again!

The club are stressing that work WILL begin outside the ground by the end of year (that's another 9 months to come up with another excuse) and the rotation of the pitch will be delayed until 2007.

Are we ever going to see anything happen at Fratton Park, or are we destined to live in a crumbling relic of old glories for the next ten years?

We've been promised action at Fratton since Jim Gregory took over and every promise has been broken, the ground is an embarrassment at it seems destined to remain so!

Thanks Paul

Did you know Fratton Park was the venue of the first ever floodlight game.

I'm not surprised that the ground has again been delayed. I been attending Fratton Park for almost 20years now and since then we have been promised a new ground. I won't believe it until i'm sat in my seat. The board are full of promises but no action.

it will be done they do sound genuine problems

We have more problem's on the pitch, not building the stadium

yer very true

Getting relegated will slow down the new ground somewhat...you see.
pompeygray
probably but if we go back up and stay up it will be done lol

Thats a big IF.

We don't need more than 20,000 fans in the Championship so why will they splash out. 14 seasons we were in that division, please not another 14 !
pompeygray
Lets change the name of the current ground by dropping off the P (Hence FRATTON ARK) or as old as....
pompeygray
lol
