Talking Pompey with Ken

Talking Pompey with Ken

Vital Pompey has previously brought you the 'knowing me knowing you series' - which is still running, so others will be added and if you want to do one just email - now we have a little something extra this summer...

Ken was asked 5 quick questions, this is what they said.

  • What are you expecting from Pompey in the coming season?
Not a lot. Usual over-pricing of tickets, merchandise, bar drinks etc. Plans for yet another new stadium; this time on the site of the funfair at Hayling Island. Over zealous stewarding. Plans for another new stadium on Portsdown Hill. An average run in the FA Cup, this time, only going out in the 3rd round to lower league opposition. Plans for a space age stadium above the shops in Commercial road. Westwood ejected from FP for showing passion. Plans for another new stad.......................................

  • Uefa cup - are you a fan of us being in this, or are you against it? Either way how well do you reckon we can do?
Definitely FOR. Prepared to bet that we have at least two games.

  • Which 3 players - that we could realistically sign - would you like to see arrive this summer?
    Peter Crouch
    Peter Crouch
    Peter Crouch

  • If you had to select 1 player to get shot of - or maybe to rephrase or make this decision easier, 'sacrifice' - to make a signing who would it be and why?
We need to keep the players. Can we get rid of The Stadium Manager/Safety Officer and the person who sets the ticket prices?
Why? Because between them they are gradually strangling the atmosphere that was Fortress Fratton!

  • How many Pompey games do you expect to make this season?
Every game against European opposition. Number of others dependent on how long we last (and therefore how long the money lasts). Only definite PL game is home to Stoke to give David James the Football Supporters' Federation 'Sports Columnist of the Year' award.

Well..................you knew what you'd get from me!

Thanks to Ken for answering these.

    PLAY UP POMPEY!

    ==========

That's the lot guys, I have no more of these to offer! So it is down to you now if we want more of these...

If anyone else wants to answer the questions simply drop me an email as a request, or with your answers on portsmouth@vitalfootball.co.uk and/or visit this link and I will make it happen.

Ken??? i did wonder if it could be the same Ken Ive known and loved for 5 years or so..then i read the article and heard his voice in my head as i read the words..so it must be Ken from Bude. If not well you have a twin. IN all seriousness, i was only saying the other day that I feel satisfied now I ve seen us get a real trophy, and with the ticket pricing and the new No Drum ruling etc Football is becoming as boring and dull as cricket used to apear. with polite clapping and singing the national anthem. Im not sure i want to stump up a £100 for a day out -without the family
