'If It's Football, It's Vital'

Muntari out, OJ in...

It is being claimed that reports in Italy are saying that Sulley Muntari will be an Inter player 'by the end of the day!'

It is said a fee of around £12m will take him to the San Siro, with it said he will sign a 5-year contract starting at £1.4m per year rising to £2m - yesterday it was a 3-year contract starting at £1.7m a year, hmmm...

The reports went on to claim that if he does not sign for the Italian champions today it will be tomorrow - with Udinese also apparently benefiting from this as they had a 'sell on clause' written into the deal that saw him come to Pompey for around £7m last summer.

I do not know what to believe anymore to be honest...

==========

Also, Monaco have denied bidding for Niko Kranjcar - with it last week claimed they had seen a £12m bid rejected.

Whilst acknowledging the Croatian is a quality footballer Monaco chairman Jerome de Bontin has denied that an approach was made.

==========

However one man that does look like he will be signing for Pompey is trialist Omar Krumah.

The Gambian teenager has impressed during a trial period with the club, although if he does sign he will not feature in the premier league in the foreseeable future with a number of Championship sides already enquiring about a loan move according to Harry Redknapp, who told The News: 'he's quick and has got a lot of everything.

'The kid wants to do well, he's willing to learn and hopefully he can do well here.

'I have already had half a dozen clubs wanting to play him this season, most of them are from the Championship.

'He's not ready for the Premier League but he's still young so his time can come.'

I have been impressed with what I have seen of 'OJ' so I say sign him up. Hopefully he can be one of those that will fulfil his promise and not just disappear off the radar as so many before him have.

So, go on guys, thoughts please...

As stated elsewhere, keep Mendes, make Diarra happy and use the extra money carefully.

I don't mind if Muntari goes - we have plenty of cover in his position and if it means we'll be able to sign SWP then I say sell!
PFCGino
its a done deal... not officially announced but i hear its done...
pompeyrug
Ah balls, I think we should have kept Muntari personally. Oh well, lets hope we do put the money into signing SWP and that Villa have not beaten us there.
sneakay
i think we had to take the money, it was too good to refuse... we must now not ***** about and get htis money spent again on the targets we want, no messing around!
pompeyrug
I think it pretty much must have come down to "Muntari or SWP?" & Harrys gotta be going to SWP!..what with us now starting with two up front (little & large) theirs less & less room in the center of midfield anyway!!! still, always gutted to see a very good player leave!!
CharlieChimes
I wish I could make a return of 12M on a 7M investment. Let him go, keep Pedro, sign SWP and a Centre back with the money.
bluedr
spot on bluedr and those are exactly the thoughts i have used in a piece im writting...

SWP & Kaboul?? Now that would be great Biz!
CharlieChimes
This is terrible!! I do want SWP but not at the cost of our most promising player.. I almost ordered a Muntari Home shirt today too!
nodster
ahh i suppose when u look at the financial side of it, its a good deal.. but whats gonna happen at LB? Shorey is he still on the cards?
nodster
It's speculation but I think Muntari would have had a cracking season and have been worth another 5 mill by this time next year. I'm gutted.....******* gutted.
Pompeyscum
Shorey was left out of an otherwise full strength line up for tonights game in Sweden, I'm guessing he's on his way. Any new your end?
uroyals
it's a pretty big loss b/c Muntari is an excellent player. does this mean the club already has another player lined up? SWP is in China with the rest of the CFC squad right now.
RadioactiveD
No issues with making a profit & seeing Muntari go. Thanks for the goals at Villa & the penalty at OT. Arriverderchi.
