Crouch move almost complete

Crouch move almost complete

We all know its happening, but Peter Crouch's return to Pompey is a mere formality now...

Although the Pompey Site has not said anything yet - but Harry Redknapp and Linvoy Primus have - the Liverpool Site has, with a Liverpool spokesman confirming: 'we have reached a verbal agreement with Portsmouth and have given them permission to speak with Peter.'

The general reports are that he is now set to have a medical; if he is not already - it is said the deal might not be officially announced today due to the time it takes for a medical and the travelling involved.

So, we might not get it 100% confirmed today, with tomorrow looking more likely but he is on his way back that much is almost certain now!

Looks like the final value is being estimated at £11 mill although I am sure the actual price will be undisclosed! Wow, 2008 could well be the best year we have ever seen as Pompey Supporters. Win the FA Cup, get some great signings that we had only dreamt of eg Defoe and Crouch, maybe SWP, Training Ground and Stadium plans could go through and building could start next year!

Rug, it may not happen tomorrow as sky just said that no one doubts the deal will go through there are still some personal terms to be agreed.

Not sure if Mensah would have been a good signing for us. Ii think you can have too many Africans, we have enough. Back to the English please.

Pompey aim remains the same

Doncaster, Carlisle & Plymouth are the teams to catch. Pompey are further adrift than we would want but the aim to finish top 3 remains the same. That's targeted in the coming weeks.
