Global Warming - towards Pompey!
An idea has been put to me by pentonpompey, quite how I could run with this and make it work to its fullest potential gave me food for thought - but after some of this and a bit of consultation with him I think I have found the most viable solution to make it work, hopefully...
Basically the plan is to try and find out where the Vital Pompey members live, and in particular just how many different nationalities we have as fans, and better still which countries we have Pompey fans living in them.
He came up with an article to use, but as it would inevitably one day slip off the front page of this site, and could not have been held at the top indefinitely I decided that it would be best if that article was moved into the forum - here - with comments made there. That way it can be held indefinitely there and once we have some initial interest the first findings can be reported and I will then produce subsequent updates every now and then keeping us abreast of developments, and just how global our appeal it!

Malta. Home of my mum. Had a short break there after the cup final. Left one of Pompey Wembley flags there. It flies for us all.

Another vote for Malta! My dad was born there, came to Pompey in 1951, moved back there in 2001 and proudly wears his retro pompey shirt round Sliema. On cup final day he had a party for about 12 of his Maltese mates and I sent him a cup final scarf, some balloons and a rosette to wear. Which is why I will be in Malta for Community Shield game but will be able to get him a ticket for Wembley as he'll be here using my Hammersmith flat.

Australia. Emigrated as a young man in 1973 and saw us slip down as low as the 4th Division in the latter part of that decade. It would have been a long suffering period until we started to climb our way back so maybe being so far away from Fratton at that time wasn't so bad. I live in inner Sydney where I drive my car with blue 'POMPEY' number plates...
