Euro 2008 prediction league - competition roundup

Euro 2008 prediction league - competition roundup

Euro 2008 is over, the Spanish lifted the Euro 2008 trophy beating the Germans in the final - England can now claim the unwanted mantle as the world biggest underachievers after the Spaniards finally relinquished this crown!

I can now also reveal - although I suspect most already know - who won the Euro 2008 predictions league competition... UKTony had been the leader pretty much all the way through, and despite a 'dodgy' time at the end he still did enough to keep this lead to be crowned 'the king of Euro predictions' this summer, so congratulations to him.

Sorry Gandor, but you claim the unwanted title of being 'the queen of poor Euro predictions' this summer - although once again I must stress that in all fairness she did not make that many predictions over the course of the tournament, nevertheless she did end bottom of the pile with zero points.

This is how top 3 finished:
1. UKTony - 73
2. Chix - 67
3. pompeyyong - 64

To see the complete table in full as it ended click here.

This was for fun as much as anything else but there was a prize on offer, so UKTony does win this item...

Kanu Mount
Please note the frame is not included.

I reckon this has made for a decent competition, that has proved a success and acts a good warm up for the real deal 'the Pompey predictions league for 2008/09' - coming soon!

Well done Tony. I trust the wife will give you permission to hang the pic up. LOL.

It'll go nicely next to the picture of Alan Knight. She's not a fan of Kanu so as long as it's not in her direct eye line, she won't mind where I hang it. Might have to re arrange some of the wedding pictures though, if I'm brave enough.

Hartlepool (a) - Safety first!

A win at Wimbledon made sure of a play-offs place. Technically we can finish in the top 3 but this would require an unlikely set of results from too many clubs wouldn't it?
