PLAY UP POMPEY!

==========

POMPEY GIVEN 26,218 SEATS FOR WEMBLEY

Pompey have been given an allocation of 26,218 tickets for the FA Community Shield against Manchester United at Wembley on Sunday, August 10.

Blues fans will once again be in the east end of the stadium, which they occupied for the FA Cup semi-final win over West Brom and the FA Cup final triumph against Cardiff.

Tickets will be sold via Ticketmaster over three weeks - between Monday, July 7 and Monday, July 28.

Ticketmaster can be contacted on 0844 847 1898. Coach travel to the game can also be booked by calling this number, priced at £22 per person.

The club has consulted supporters' groups and will begin by selling tickets to season ticket holders stand by stand (see timetable below).

Every season ticket holder, club member and Junior Blue is guaranteed a ticket. This will be one per ticket holder.

A total of 100 pairs of tickets will be made available to disabled supporters and visually impaired/ambulant fans. These will be handled by the club`s ticket office. But only postal applications will be accepted, with proof of disability living allowance and correct remittance. Supporters must also state what kind of ticket they require, ie; wheelchair, ambulant, visually impaired.

Send correspondence to: Allison McNeil, Disabled Liaison Officer, Portsmouth Football Club, Rodney Road, Portsmouth P04 8SX. These tickets cost £15 (including carer) plus £5 to cover postage. Please include your credit/debit card number or write a cheque made payable to 'Portsmouth Football Club'.

Ticketmaster will be applying a fixed charge of £3.50 per ticket and £4.90 for registered post per delivery. The postage fee is necessary as the FA do not issue duplicate tickets.
Community Shield ticket timetable:

July 7: South Stand Upper (Adult £40 and £30, Junior/Senior £35 and £25)
July 8: North Stand Upper (Adult £40 and £30, Junior/Senior £35 and £25)
July 9: South Stand Lower (Adult £30 and £20, Junior/Senior £25 and £15)
July 10: North Stand Lower (Adult £30 and £20, Junior/Senior £25 and £15)
July 11: West Stand (Fratton end) (Adult £30 and £20, Junior/Senior £25 and £15)
July 7-11: Junior Blues members for 2007/8 season can also purchase one ticket for their parent/guardian. This will be by postal application only (membership card and payment must be included). Ticket price will be Adult £30, Junior £25, plus postage (as detailed above). NB: Junior Blues members for the 2008/9 season are not eligible for tickets.
July 14-18: Club Members (Adult £20 and £15, Junior/Senior £15 and £10).
July 21-25: Members (seasons 2007/8 and 2008/9) and season ticket holders who missed their allocated day
July 28: General Sale to database, subject to availability

Only call on your allocated day.

Season ticket holders can order in groups with operators able to take bookings for up to eight tickets in one transaction providing they have the reference numbers of the other season ticket holders.

If they require more than eight people sitting together another transaction can be completed in the same call so long as the operator is informed at the beginning of the call.

Please Note: Once tickets have been bought they cannot be changed (ie, Junior/Senior cannot be upgraded to Adult and vice versa).

Postal applications should be sent to the Ticket Office, Portsmouth Football Club, Rodney Road, Portsmouth, PO4 8SX.

Queries regarding tickets bought through Ticketmaster must be directed to their customer services on 08444 999 999.

The club would like to point out that it is a criminal offence to sell tickets to a third party and any tickets traced back to Pompey fans will result in a ban on future purchasing by both the FA and the club.

I guess we woll need this season's season ticket serial numbers before we can call?

Your membership/seaon ticket reference will not change unless you are new STH. Prices are reasonable I am glad to say.
eastneydave
Very chuffed with the prices! Thought it would be double that to be honest. Plus we get the east stand again, in an all blue kit!
sneakay
cool, thx - yes good prices.
ChrisW
A lot less than I thought. Chuffed we have the same end. 1-0 win again then.
storagematt
Excellent!!,,,Good prices, chuffed to bits.

Yep agree fellas. Although its a season curtain raiser it's still somewhat meaningless game (in as much that it counts for nothing) but wouldn't it be just great to beat United at Wembley..
Chix
It would Chix. It maybe meaningless but once the game kicks off, we'll be screaming the lads on. Yes if we lose, then it is meaningless but we won't. We will win 1-0 again.
storagematt
Your luck WILL run out that day! It HAS TO!
ForeverUnited
Don't you believe it. There may be a change coming in the order of English Football. At least you still have Wes Brown.
eastneydave
We're playing Utd 3 times in quick succession. My prediction is we lose 2 and win 1. Which ones I don't know. Not sure if I'd rather beat them at Wembley in essentially a friendly (although one with silverware) or in the league and get 3 points. Although being selfish I'll be away when the Shield is on but am hoping to go to the league match.
tracyc
with wes brown in your side we'll never run out of luck - not that i think we had an undue amount last season anyway...
the prices are fantastic, much better than i expected - its just a shame we couldnt get more tickets.
pompeyrug
I think though that lots of people will be away, so 26,000 should be plenty! If anyone with a season ticket is not going could I use it to get a ticket with? I wouldn't mind actually sitting with the vital fans rather than by myself.
