Sahar Pompey bound?

Sahar Pompey bound?

Chelski youngster Ben Sahar has previously been 'linked' with Pompey this summer, but with a loan move to Holland looking likely the deal for the striker appeared dead - but maybe not...

The Israeli looked set for a season loan move to Dutch club NEC, but they are now reporting that the deal will not take place and he will instead come to Fratton for the season, as had been reported a few weeks back.

We have not said anything on the issue as yet, but NEC seem to believe this is a done deal - not that this makes it so of course...

==========

As we all know there has also been a hell of a lot more Peter Crouch talk over the past 24 hours, with it 'reported' that an offer to Liverpool for a deal worth as much as £9m had been rejected.

Latest 'rumours' are that we are still offering the £9m package, but have upped our initial outlay to £8m up front with a further £1m to follow in add-ons, with the 'original' reports saying £7m had been put on the table with the rest to follow.

You know what to do guys, as always discuss the thoughts from above...

Hope if we take this Sahar on loan, there isnt a clause saying he has to play if fit. Play him, but only on merit.

i wouldnt have thought so - at least i hope not... if so i doubt we would do the deal, if we even do?

He'll probably have a clause which say he can't play against Chelski though.... Not sure how I feel about this one to be honest ... Is he worth of a first team place do we reckon ?

I think that the general feeling around Sahar is that he is good when he's really into a game. My biggest criticism of him was just that sometimes, it seemed as though he wasn't giving 100%. I think Harry could be good for him and if you can get him giving his all, he would be good for you.

If he does come it ain't because we havn't got Crouch. I still hope we will get a top man to partner Defoe. However, if we do get Sahar. it would put a big question mark over Nugent?

Would definitely still rather we sign Crouch, but looks like Liverpool are still holding out for anywhere from £10-12 Mill....

Good point about Nuge Matt ... They can't all play can they.. Crouchy for £12 million ? - I'd start to question whether he's worth it again. £8m I can go with but another 50% on top - He better work his socks off if he comes

talking of Crouch at £12m, I'd rather have Benji back at half that... and enough cash left over to fix the bogs.

I agree with ChrisW. Get Benji back, wait a year and get Crouch on a free.

Crouchy not for me at £12M, worth £8m max and we should hold out for that and no more. Rumours linking Pedro with Mallorca, could we swap with Danny Guiza who I think looks sharp?

Tubbs has left the building

Tubbs has finally left Pompey; perhaps his destination is something of a surprise then again there had been some 'rumours' recently of an Eastleigh interest.

Match highlights - Pompey 0-1 Orient

Disappointing as it was, you take the rough with the smooth and cannot gloss over things when they aren't so good so here goes with the 1-0 defeat Pompey suffered against Orient.
