Toddy to Start

Todorov is set to be included in the team to face Villa on Saturday. This is due to the fact that Benjani has picked up an injury.

It may also mean that Mbesume gets a place on the bench. I can see it Lua Lua picks up a knock on comes Mbesume scores the winner and goes on to score the goals that keep us up.

Gary O'Neil is also set to possible miss out along with Richard Hughes, this would see the return of D'Alessandro and Routledge.

Vignal may also come in for Linvoy but having Vignal at right back with Karadas in the middle will fill Villa with confidence.

Expected Line Up

GK: Dean Kiely

LB: Matthew Taylor CB: Andy O'Brien CB: Azar Karadas RB: Gregory Vignal

LM: Andres D'Alessandro CM: Pedro Mendes CM: Sean Davis RM: Wayne Routledge

ST: Lomana Lua Lua ST: Svetoslav Todorov

Villa will be as depleted at the back as us (4-5 ?). Now I'd settle for that. We just have to go for the jugular.

Hot Toddy I say, after we've demolished the Vanilla.

We owe Villa a beating after they destroyed us at Villa Park last season in the first half. Hope the match is better than the 1-1 draw at FP earlier this season. They ruined a good game by getting Butt set off then putting 10 men behind the ball, and since then the writing has been on the wall as our strikers didn't look like scoring back in Aug

if benjani is injured, it will be a blessing in disguise

Let us pray...that are memories are still with us, that we cast our minds back to those veverant times when we were guided into the lands of the premership and our flock were supportive, and in our new found land did we set upon the eyes of a certain foe and in our first encounter we defeated that foe 2-1. We now venture further north in an effort to replicate that scoreline against the tribe of Villa...may God support us. Amen

We started our Premiership campaign against Villa back in Aug 2003 and the one player that was missing through injury days before the game was Toddy. Hopefully this will now be the start of his Premiership campaign and keep us up.

This is the game that gives us a sniff or we get our noses rubbed. Can we lick the vanilla with this lot...2 goals I pray, not the standard nil or one. I would settle for a 1-0 win though....I think we all would.
pompeygray
i hope we win. with the line up looking like that i think we will. toddy is just a natural killer. a clinical finisher
pompeyboy
Yes hopefully not even the Villa boys (Pancho Villa and Ricky Villa) can help them. We may even get some silent support from Peter Crouch as 2 of his Ex employers go head to head.
pompeygray
2 poor teams with depleted injury ravaged squads... whats the betting on a cracking game? Honestly I can't call this one as our home form is pathetic and god knows what defence we will be putting out. P.S. Hope you stay safe and send the Bluenoses down!

reference the 3rd quote. the only butt weve had at villa was the one on robbie savage by super dion 4 years ago.
