A long summer for England fans

Well here goes guys, we are about to embark on the Euros and for England fans it is going be a long summer - Spineless Steve take a long hard look at the image of the fella that goes with this article and you will see why you no longer have a job and why England are not at Euro 2008!

Your failure to pick David James, who was the best English keeper by a mile for the whole of your ill-fated reign, as he still is now, is what cost you your job!

Without any shadow of a doubt had you picked him, if for no other game other than the Croatian one we would be at Euro 2008 now, no doubt rated among the favourites before bowing out in the traditional manor on penalties as we always do in the end...

Enough said I think - roll on next season, uefa cup and all!

Well at least there is still footie on - it's better than nothing! Still cannot believe that we are not in the Euro's though.

I fancy Spain, but then so do half the Scousers, so seeing that we have Kranjcar and some Croatian Pompey fans I will return the favour! Even if they did knock us out :(

oh, and any lack of european football over the summer should be more than compensated for next season!

Just hope Niko & LD return home safely. Rather not the Germans win it. Totally agree with you Rug, but maybe it will do English football good in the long term. (Said that before). France or Italy to win.

Croatia!! NiiikkoOo! Might as well watch it anyway seeing as I've got chickenpox and can't go out. Much as it hurts not be involved in Euro 08, it was the price we had to pay to get rid of the Wally with the Brolley. See how much better things are now. We've never had a better chance to win the world cup.

in hindsight... i dont really care that we arnt in the euros. we are already playing better football under fabio, and cant have even spoken to the players! oh, and also he is picking players that play well... and it is ONLY the euros after all, its not like its the world cup!

At least this summer I will not have the expectation of England finally going to do it only to ripped away from me by our innability to score from 12 yards!
