No ticket confirmation on the community shield yet

Sunday August 10th will see Pompey return to Wembley for what will be the third time in a little over 5 months - and I do not know about anyone else but I cannot wait for this already, I want the hat trick of wins! - for the community shield, but no official confirmation on ticketing details has been revealed just yet.

Perhaps, maybe as a result of a number of enquires already this statement has been issued on the Pompey Site however...

PLAY UP POMPEY!

==========

COMMUNITY SHIELD TICKET INFORMATION

There will be no ticket information about Pompey's Community Shield match until next month.

Information is likely to be made available on this site in early July, once the club has met with officials from the FA and Manchester United.

The match will be played at Wembley on Sunday, August 10.

It will be Blues third visit to the national stadium in 2008, following Pompey's successful FA Cup outings in April and May.

So we have to wait a while yet. If I am lucky enough to get any spare tickets I will be ensuring that fans who did not go to either the semi or the final get a chance to see Pompey at Wembley. Let's hope the prices are sensible too.

The number of tickets should be close to what we had for the semi, if not a bit more. Those tickets/seats reserved for the corporate area will not go on sale to either side. So something 38-40,000, I would guess. For those of us lucky to have gone to both games already, you can't get fed up of going. Those who did miss out may get a chance this time. It should be a cracker & the best pre-season game we could ever hope for!

Who would have thought that we could have 3 trips to Wembley in 5 months! Starting to get a bit bored of it all now! lol Not really - Don't panic I was attempting to be a little sarcastic.

I can't wait, I'm up for a severe headache, and the chance to drown in pints of 2units.

i shall be giving this one a miss and watching it on telly. Somebody else can go. It's only a pre season warmup anyway.
