'If It's Football, It's Vital'

Has the time ever been better to be a Pompey fan?

Has there ever been a better time to be a Pompey fan?

That is a question we must all be asking ourselves regularly now, and I would bet most would come back with the answer no!

We are FA cup holders, we finished last season in our highest league placing for 50-years and next season we will be playing European football for the first time ever - so make the most of these days now and have you say on Vital Pompey now! Surely must have something to say?

Vital Pompey is probably the fastest growing, biggest and best Pompey fans site out there.

With news and views, along with a forum, polls and article comments, everything you need in a fans site is right here!

You can even win prizes, by posting articles comments, posting on the message forum and voting on the polls.

Vital is also 100% interactive. Not only can you have your say on the articles and the forum but you can also suggest an article or a poll so you can air your views.

So why not join Vital today?

This is our time guys, our site and our chance to say what we want to say about Pompey whenever we want! We all pay our money to support the club we love so this is our chance, without censor - foul or abuse language aside - to say what we want when we want in all areas of this site.

We all have an opinion so get involved and share it right here on Vital Pompey - you honestly will not find a friendlier or better Pompey site on the net, believe me I have looked! Pull up a chair and get involved with your comments and/or suggestions for polls and articles and make yourself heard.

Do not be afraid as in most instances there is no right or wrong - just difference of opinions. No one will ridicule you, we might not agree but unless you totally deserve it you will not be shot down, as the 'landlord' I for one will not stand for it...

So many of this sites members are now getting involved, so it is not just my ramblings you have to put up with as other members are putting forward some crackin' reads. And as for the forum side of this site, this is picking up momentum all the time - there is almost always someone online that you can chat to so join Vital Pompey now.

For each of the past 5 months Vital Pompey has had over 2m hits per month, last month saw us fall just short of the previous all time record of 2.95m hits, which was set in January.

For a site to be gaining over 2m hits per month we must be doing something right, and it is not just because things are going so well on the pitch either it is also because of all the hard work that we all put into this site - so lets keep it growing by telling all our friends and family about it and getting them to join us.

Passion, commitment, fun.....and that's just the site administrators. If we divided hits per month by registered members, I bet we'd be streets ahead of anyone else

Not since the heady days of the late 40s (before my time honestly) have we had so much success. Just getting promoted to the Prem was massive, surviving was unbelieveable, WINNING THE FA CUP pinch me I'm dreaming. If you can't enjoy now you need shooting. For 20-25 years of under achieving, be very grateful we have now.

This site is great - but it could be better if all those people that just come on to the site to have a look decided to give themselves a name and a voice and joined in. Personally I need more company to keep me going between 9 - 5.30, more people to chat to! ;)

I'm sorry I have only been browsing and not contributing lately, but I don't really know about the new players we may be buying or how they will fit into our set up. However, if you want to talk about that photograph of David James in Cosmopolitan, then I reckon Icould eulogise for an article or five. All I know about SWP is that I don't reckon his picture in Cosmopolitan. (Just giving the browsers an idea of the very diversified interests and angles of the game covered by our fan base).

Always something interesting to talk about on this site, whether it be the 27 players we've been linked with that day, whether 'Arry deserves a statue, how old Kanu really is, or how we got on in our previous game etc. Good reporting and good members, come and join the fun!

To take it back to the article for one moment . . Not only is this an amazing time to be a Pompey fan, but I sense it may be just the beginning of something very special indeed. If I could go back in time 10 years and tell myself about the FA cup win, I wouldn't, because the anticipation is half the fun. And I think we are still there - anticipation of what is yet to come.

Gandor - totally agree about the picture of James in Cosmo - interesting that SWP decided to turn around, wouldn't mind that view of Jamo either! I noticed his rear view at the pre-season friendly with Havant & Waterlooville last year. Didn't concentrate on the match much in the first half at all!

Tracy & Gandor, Diverse indeed. What a couple of letches!

Tracyc, why do you think I like sitting behind the goal? The rear view (lower half) of Sol Campbell can brighten up a dreary match as well.
