Pompey in battle to land Edu

'Reports' over the weekend had grown that we could be chasing Edu, and these are just getting stronger...

The suggestion in the papers is that Valencia are 'looking to get him off their wage bill due to their financial problems' so a season long loan deal could take place. But we are not the only club interested, his former club Arsenal are also being 'linked' as well as Liverpool, Everton, Citeh, Spurs and Boro.

Should Pedro Mendes move on - which I hope he does not, but fear he will as he is a fantastic footballer who it too good to sit on the bench - then I could see the Brazilian as the ideal replacement to be honest. If Arsenal want him back though then the chances are he would return to them? If not then we would have as good a chance as anyone!

What do we reckon fellas, just another bit of 'paper talk' or could this have some legs?
