Mendes and Gutierrez swap deal?
Pedro Mendes is being linked with a move to Real Mallorca, with a possible swap deal involving long time Pompey target Jonas Gutierrez going the other way being mentioned...
Mendes is being quoted as having told IB3 Television: 'Spanish football is interesting for me and Mallorca are a good team', which apparently means 'he wants to move to Spain!' To me this does not exactly say he is going, or maybe I am just seeing it the way I want to see it as i do not want him to leave?
With Gutierrez being a long term target for Harry Redknapp then if there were any truth in this then as much as I would like to keep Mendes you could imagine this is a sacrifice that could, well in fact maybe even would be made...

if it just the 'price tag' that 'arry sees in utaka tho? i cannot stress enough that i hope he comes good next season, but until we see if - and not just for the first few games - i will not believe it.
