Player futures to be sorted next week

The News is reporting that next week will see the futures of several Pompey players decided, with Harry Redknapp also discussing transfer targets with Peter Storrie...

Kanu is one of them who needs his future clarified, although Storrie has told Radio Solent that an offer 'is on the table for him', he just needs to sign it. If the offer has been made then it should not take him long to put his signature to it as he has said all he wants is a new deal - so that should be simple?

On loan pair Milan Baros and Lucien Aubey will find out if there loans will become permanent moves - although I suspect neither will be with the club next season to be honest...

Sean Davis and Lauren only have a year left on their current deals so they could be moved on - Davis is being 'linked' to others although Lauren keeps saying he wants to stay.

It is also 'said' that the pair, along with Baros were not at the victory parade which suggests they could be moving on? I honestly cannot remember if they were missing, but cannot recall the names being called out to be honest...

Franck Songo'o has been offered a new contract, but this has apparently not yet been signed and he could have other offers. I do not think it is any secret that I like the fella, so I hope that he signs it and gets a chance next season.

Also the future of Tony Adams needs to be clarified once and for all, but I do not think we have much to worry about here as it looks like he will be staying for at least 'one last year'.

All in all my own personal opinion on these mentioned is that Kanu, Songo'o and Adams will stay, the rest will probably make way over the summer - along with a few others names of course...

I think Aubey will stay to be honest Rug. I think he has come in and done well when has needed. He will be a good squad player to have for our European adventure. Hopefully Baros will go back as I have not been impressed with him at all, we can get better to replace him.

I think HR might want to see how Baros does against Euro opposition [read EUFA Cup] in the Euro-Champs.. if he reproduces his 04 form then I reckon he'll stay
ChrisW
dont get me wrong ive liked the look for lucifer from the little we have seen of him, so would hope that if the price was right we could keep him...
thats a decent theory on baros you know - it wouldnt surprise me if he went and finished as the top scorer again this summer after not looking like ever scoring for us!
pompeyrug
think lauren, ashdown, campbell, traore, davis, baros and aubey will all leave this summer.Just seen on a website city are selling loads of their stars maybe benjani can come back ?

Davis, Baros and Lauren all missed the victory parade, read between the lines

I would like to see Aubey stay he seemed to do well when he played & is young & says he wants to learn, would also be sad to see Sean Davis go if he does

Hope Benjani comes back!
Gandor
I would keep Aubey and Baros at the right price he makes things happen with his energy. I thought Lauren was at the parade but then again perhaps he wasn't trust Paul on that one.

aubey to me seems very similer to mvuemba last season. i think he will stay. baros hasnt looked like scorring at all. and for a man of his talent (?) he seems to foul, dive and fall over a lot. i just dont like his style...

Get the revolving door oiled up. Expect a few out & hopefully better ones in.
storagematt
if past hisory repeats itself then by missing the victory parade they'll not be there next season - merson did the same thing didnt he, and he then moved on...
pompeyrug
Baros looks the part but no goals worries me, he has no left foot easy tap in & he tried to hit with the outside of his right
pompeyyong
By the way Gandor we all loved Benjani but he's gone, can't see him comming back now.
