James on being as Harry as Larry

James on being as Harry as Larry

Cup final win reflections move onto David James now - a man without who we probably would not have even made it into the cup final, let alone won it! - and he was left 'happy as Larry' at our cup success, with it being third time lucky for him in terms of winning it: 'it's tremendous.

'Cardiff gave a good account of themselves, but we were the better team and we deserved the win - so I'm as happy as Larry.'

Cardiff did have a goal disallowed at the end of the 1st half, but other than that he did not have a lot to do, but what he did he did well - a fact he knew all too well: 'it was definite handball and the referee saw it, which was good.

'To be fair I didn't really have much to do today, the defence was solid again and as I say we thoroughly deserved the win.'

All in all though, he felt that we were worthy FA cup winners, as anyone who can beat a full strength Manyoo team on their own patch cannot be bad: 'it's fantastic.

'In the build-up to the final we had to play Manchester United, the best team in the country and maybe in Europe. We beat their best team, we had to earn our right to get here. Hats off to the lads.'

As said we owe a huge amount of gratitude to James as without him we would not have won the cup, I have little or no doubt about that...

England's number 1. I just wish I am half as fit as Jamo when I reach 37! The way I am going it is not very likely. Here's to 30 clean sheets next season!

We all worried if he would make it back from injury, I feel Jamo was never in doubt, but Harry did not want to risk him then had a quiet day & gave credit to the defence.

He's such a superstar, its hard to beleive that this is the single biggest thing he's ever won to date in his career. Hopefully by the time he's 40 he'll have added the european cup and the world cup as well. And I have to say, being a girl and all - nice pics in Cosmo this month!

Evans - Right back or right midfield?

Drew Talbot and Adam Buxton are fit but Gareth Evans continues to fill in at right back. Should this change? If so where would it leave the battle between Evans and Carl Baker?
