'If It's Football, It's Vital'

The dream has come true!

As many people nurse their hangovers - well some will probably plough through today and have the monster of all hangovers on Monday - what was once merely a dream has now become reality, Pompey have won the FA cup again.

There will be plenty of reaction, as I have loads from the players, manager and coaching staff to use but as this is a day for reflection and recuperation today will be a fairly quiet day for me at Vital Pompey Towers - so lets simply enjoy the victory parade, those that can make it and savour the moment.

I will be back in full force tomorrow, although you never know maybe later tonight depending on what time I get home as my stay in Pompey sadly has to end this evening and a return home must be had...

So as I say reactions from those within the club will be coming in the next day or so, and hopefully many of your reactions will also be shared, either via email to me or simply with comments left which I could round-up as Vital Pompey's reaction to winning the cup?

We did it guys, 'little Pompey' won the FA cup - has it sank in yet for you...

The victory parade is going to be something else today - lets just enjoy it! Then the next few days we can all put together our thoughts on the website. For now, all I can really say is: YAAAAAAAAAAYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Let's hope the victory parade is on tv; I don't think I can get out of the house today

superb! im delighted for you! now lets break open this fabled 'big four'; you have shown that you don't have to have billions to win trophies, just a good honest squad and a good manager, we showed the same when we broke the big four monopoly a few seasons ago, now lets keep doing it and make the premier league a better place and not dominated by the usuals! congratulations!

^Spot on. I'm bored of the top 4 and their arrogance. This really is two fingers up to them and the majority of the hard work was done by a Championship side.

sky sports news is covering it apparently?

What can i say, i'm still i shock. The reality is there but it's a dream. I just feel so happy and can't add anymore except to say i'm grinning from ear to ear. Long may it continue...

What a day Saturday was! The atmosphere created by our fans at that great new stadium was just amazing, and the sense of relief after we'd held on for victory was only exceeded by the great singsong afterwards. I managed to remember every word of HI HO SILVER LINING.. what a fantastic day!

Tell you what, the congratulations from fans of other clubs means a lot - different class boys and much appreciated. Not sure when I'll get my voice back!
NinjaTim

So proud to be a born & bred Pompey bloke (even with a mix of maltese/italian blood). One of the greatest life moments for me. For all the pain & anguish of 30+ years to wiped away in one moment. I will smile forever. God bless the dragon slayers of Pompey. For Harry, Portsmouth & Engalnd, I salute you.

the greatest moment of my life personally, clearly i have had great moments and births within the family have been out of this world but as i dont have my own kids just yet the cup win as i say is the greatest moment of my life to date... fa cup winners, unbelievable - yet now believable!

Was not able to make the parade as I was recovering for the vast majority of the day. Having seen the amount of people that turned up i am a bit glad that I didn't drive down!

What a day Saturday was - A HUGE thanks goes out to all the people I met, you helped make the day. Well done to all the fans (including th ecardiff fans) for the support and making Wembley the noisiest ever! Thats what real support is about!

I sky plussed SSN for the victory parade and i would love to know the deep conversation sasha and harry had before he went on stage, i'm sure they were talking about henry, ronaldinho, mensah and something about trouncing barce in the Uefa cupo final, but i had by that time had a pint or two,
