Gaydamak - Redknapp is a genius
Sacha Gaydamak has branded Harry Redknapp a 'genius' when speaking to the Daily Mail today.
Redknapp has again committed his future to the club and Gaydamak sees him as the perfect man to carry on taking us forward: 'Mr Redknapp is the dream manager for this club. We could not have a better manager.
'I am convinced Harry is the perfect man for this club and that we can go forward together.'
Asked if he could see Portsmouth without Redknapp post the FA Cup final, he replied: 'No. I have spoken with Harry.
'It has been a most difficult time for him and his family but he is committed and dedicated to Portsmouth. He proved that when he could have gone to Newcastle.
'Portsmouth were very close to relegation when I took over. Mr Redknapp saved the club and then made us an attractive club for players to come to; players of the stature of David James and Sol Campbell. It was genius, Harry's genius, to attract those players.'
You will not hear me arguing against this as I am - despite things that he does that can wind me up - a very big Redknapp fan, so I too believe that he can carry on moving us forward, and as much as he might play this down in public I am convinced that in private he knows this too!
Winning the cup tomorrow would be a very good starting point, well not really starting point, as we have already gone past this, it would hopefully be a starting point for even bigger and better things...

No matter who the manager is at any club, he will be loved by some & not by others. All the calls are questioned & we all know better. However, without Harry we wouldn't have got promoted to the Prem. We wouldn't have stayed up & we wouldn't be top 10 & in a cup final. All our top players are here because of him. Not the club or the money, they are here because of Harry Redknapp. Find fault if you like but my best moments since 1974 are very much recent & I thank Harry Rednapp. Genius.

Completely agree and it's good to hear Sacha being complimentary about him in the press, I remember when he first arrived there were rumours that he wasn't too enamoured with the decision to bring in Redknapp.
It never takes Harry to long to win people around with his cheeky del boy persona though..

as i say you will not hear me arguing with sacha's thoughts on 'arry, the fella might have some faults but these faults can be forgiven for all the great he does do... and long may it continue!

threestands - that is a load of bo****cks. if he wanted money, he would be newcastle (or liverpool?!?!?) manager. he joined southhampton purely to spite milan mandaric. sure, it was an imature reaction - but if he wasnt so imature, he wouldnt be half the guy he is! but as much as i think harry is a great manager, i am beggining to think...

I'm a great 'arry fan, and have championed him much on this site. There is only one man for pompey, it's 'arry Redknapp! Yep, I don't agree with all he does, but who would you?? Come on Pompey, do us proud!! HARRY REDKNAPPS BLUE AND WHITE ARMY!!

I'm going to love watching Arry leading the team out at Wembley for the first time in his career tomorrow, what a momentous occasion. He so deserves some real success. Of course there was the Championship title, the Asia cup and taking the Scummers down, but this is going to be even better!
