Vital Fantasy Football - 'Pompey mini league'

There was no change in the Vital Fantasy Football 'Pompey mini league' this week as the season ended.

Crazy Cats retained top spot for a 5th week running on 1359pts in total to be crowned CHAMPION. Maradona_kebab stayed in 2nd spot for a 3rd week running on 1318pts in total to claim the RUNNERS UP spot, which meant The Pompey Chimes stayed in 3rd also for a 3rd week running, and also on 1318pts in total to finish in THIRD.

Crazy Cats, maradona_kebab and The Pompey Chimes are all finished in the top 55 of over 4900 entries overall - in 11th, 52nd and 53rd places respectively - congratulations fellas, you have consistently remained in or around the top 100 all season.

I was a moved up to 8th spot in the Pompey mini league, but did drop from 481st - 490th place overall.

I look forward to this again next season, hopefully all will enter again and more.

'Pompey predictions league'

The season, much like the Pompey Predictions League for the last game did not end in the best of ways for us. For the Fulham game our performance was awful - only 1 person picked up any points!

pompey4me gained the points this week, 2pts for predicting a defeat - everyone else got a big fat zero to end with.

There was again no change in the top 3 as the season ended.

Steaming remained top for an 8th game running, remaining on 83pts overall to be crowned CHAMPION. Pompeyrug retained 2nd spot, also for a 8th game running, staying on 74pts overall to be RUNNER UP. Chix kept 3rd spot for a 15th game running, also staying 70pts in total to claim THIRD.

The Fulham game also saw the month end, well at least the football month so a monthly winner had to be found, this winner was Et_tu_Pompeii with 9pts. As a result he takes the final 'monthly winners place' and this draw will take place next week to determine the 'bonus prize' winner.

To view the overall table ended click here.

I also look forward to this again next season, once again hopefully all will re-enter and many, many more.

a full round up of all the winners and losers will be published next week, with winners of prizes also being confirmed - so watch this space...

On this day in history...13th February

A look back at this day in history, and what was happening with Pompey courtesy of our sister site PompeyRama, 13th February.

Big Ben returns!

There's no doubting how important Davies is to us, we most definitely missed the former Sheffield United man against Orient but Cook's confirmed he'll start against Bristol Rovers.

Winning over the fans

Cook feels he still has to 'win over a proportion' of the fans at Pompey?

Tubbs surprised...in a way he has a point

5-goals in a combined total of 8-matches isn't a bad return is it so having made his move to Eastleigh this week I get Tubbs' point at his surprise Cook wasn't selecting him.
