One in, one out... so the Mirror says!

One in, one out... so the Mirror says!

Claims are being made in the Daily Mirror today that Pedro Mendes is on his way to Villa this summer whereas Ishmael Miller is on his way to Fratton...

I think, as much as I would be saddened by it that Mendes will leave this summer and Villa are apparent long term admirers so a move to Villa Park could happen, then again this could just be old news being recycled? Either way though I would hope that it would not be in a 'cut price' deal as the rag claims!

Miller has looked handy for West Brom but I would not expect them to be looking to sell their best players having just been promoted again. £5m could be a tempting offer, but I cannot see us offering that for him to be honest, particularly with other options out there that are more proven that would not cost much more - if any more...

So Mendes ain't good enough to a squad player for us yet he is for Villa. Doesn't make sense. As for £5m for Miller, I don't think so. WBA pay just under £1m for him from Man City In January, he scores some goals in the fizzy pop league & his value is £5m! Is someone having a giraffe or what?

I think we saw with Nugent that we should look for proven top quality players first and then maybe some cheaper ones from the championship as extras.... so £5m does seem pricey!

Why are we selling all our passionate 100% players and bringing in lethargic inconsistent replacements.

I agree Matt why would Mendes move from one squad to another unlees he is being lined up as replacement for Barry? I don't think Harry will chance another fizzy pop striker at the moment as you say Sacha. We need another proven goal scorer till Nugent and Subotic come good.

Hope mendes stays he is a total legend and he deserves a midfield spot week in and week out.As for miller no way that is total rubbish and i do not believe that for starters.

storagematt, does the name David Nugent mean anything to you?

I think Mendes is class but he needs games and has lost a certain amount of agression but as much as i hate the thought of Pedro leaving MO'N does like creative ball passing players in his midfield but Harry now seems to prefer Papa Bouba Quashie.

I agree with NinjaTim would not trust the Mirror there football coverage is poor to say the least. Mendes reported selling his House at Sandbanks if he is going to Villa why sell, a lot of players travel further than this.

Yes russ. Nugent, Fuller. All failed in the prem & I would expect Miller to do so to. One minute we are after Ashton or Crouch, next it's fizzy pop lard ar5es.
