Where to drink before/after the cup final?

The FA cup final is fast approaching now, no doubt we are all getting very excited, I know that I am as the realisation that we 'are in the cup final' is now fully 100% kicking in big time! But we have to get our priorities sorted do we not with such things as 'where are we drinking before the cup final'...

Cheshirepompey has managed to supply us information on the pubs that Pompey fans have been allocated, and as such will be welcomed to in around the area on Saturday - so here they are:

I have heard that The Torch is a good one, so for Pompey to have been assigned this one is bonus, but suggestions are welcome. I have no doubt that somewhere suitable for a meeting can be found - so fire away guys...

UPDATE: So guys are we all happy with making The Touch the meeting place prior to the cup final?

I am up for where ever. Didn't get a chance to meet anyone last time coz I came in at Wembley Park - so the torch would be perfect for that!

This is a top bar too - First Class Sports Bar, http://firstclass-sportsbar.com/contact.html. Its only a few mins walk away from Wembley Central Tube. Although it looks small from the front its got a huge marquee out the back & burger van AND it doesn't take long to get served. Its Pompey only on Saturday.

One other thing I found out - all bars in Wembley Park are Pompey & all bars in Wembley Central are Cardiff, by order of the Met police

Where did you find that out holdz? The article that Cheshirepompey found suggested that the first class sports bar was for either team and tickets only. I was in there after the semi and it was a great place to be - easily fitting in a few hundred people to the marquee. Does someone fancy checking with them? I have looked up the number but can't call till I finish work. 0208 900 00 96. Sorry Rug not trying to advertise.

yep im out on the beer when i get back to pompey!
im still liking the sound of the torch guys and seems the best meeting place... the only draw back is it is about a mile from wembley stadium, so would be about 20 minutes walk there then 20 minutes back, then again most pubs that pompey have got are further away from the ground than cardiff's - however it is no distance from wembley park tube, which could be used to get to wembley central then to the ground - bobs your uncle!

Sounds like the Torch then; it seems to be in the opposite direction to the greyhound. Is that right or have my map reading skills not improved since my cub scouts days.

I'm selling one ticket because I've shelled out a stupid amount of money getting two seats for me and my mate. This is his single ticket. I'm only trying to help a ticketless Pompey fan get to the cup final in the Pompey end not hold them up at gun point. I'm not trying anything other than sell a ticket? What should i do hold on to it so no one gets their fingers burned? That would mean one less pompey fan enjoying the cup final which can't be a good thing? I'll be honest and say I'm not trying to sell it at face value. You show me anyone who is though? Again anyone offended, my apologies?

Sneakay - I called the 1st Class Sports Bar before posting my comments & they told me that they were Pompey only as are all the bars at Wembley park

Can I recommend that we go there (First Class Sports Bar) Rug as it is closer to Wembley, provides a burger van a HUGE Marquee and lots of out door seating as well if the weather is good.

i'll ask around and see what people think but i have to meet some people, so the torch seems like the place i need to be at - but if the first class sports bar will be better and easier i might be able to switch things around...

At the end of the day I am meeting NinjaTim so I will go wherever we need to - having been to this bar before though I suggest it - although there is no real ale so that may put a number of people off.
