James passed fit for the cup final!

Nothing official has yet been confirmed by Pompey but Setanta Sports and sky sports are both reporting that David James will be fit for the FA cup final!

They say 'medical staff have handed James a clean bill of health' when he went for his scan today, so he will be available for the cup final and could even return this weekend against Fulham?

Until something is officially confirmed I will not be completely convinced, but I am already feeling relieved as the thought of going into the cup final without such a huge presence as James had left me very concerned...

Well let's hope he is fully fit & mentally sharp. We will need jamo at his best to keep the dragons out.

Hurrah!

Matt I think Dragon slayer might be better. We need him between the sticks to give everyone a huge boost.

I'm going to have a beer on the news.

Seen Jamo on sky sports news at Fratton park with the fa cup saying he's been passed fit (technically that is) would love to see him back for sunday but surely for the 17th if not.
pompeyyong
THE most important player for us. Simply has to play. I honestly think he would even if not fully, fully fit.
pompey4me
Even if he is not 100%, his prescence is vital
paultsmouth
Don't risk him on Sunday - he can be match fit for the Final without needing to prance around against the cottagers.
pompeygray
Agree PG. Not worth risking Jamo. I'd rather see Fulham stay up than the brummies.
storagematt
Agreed. No point in risking him against Fulham. I know it's a team game and all that but how many times has Jamo saved us this season? Stating the bleedin' obvious I guess, but we need him for the final more than any other one player. That said, as a keeper, he needs to be 100% fit, surely?
