More 'rumours' about Kranjcar and Arsenal

The 'Niko Kranjcar to Arsenal rumours' just will not go away will they - or maybe it is just a case of the same 'rumours' just doing the rounds over and over...

The Mirror are running this again, with his Dad again claiming that he will be off. He will apparently be a £12m replacement for Alexander Hleb, who could be on his way to Inter.

Whilst I do feel that Kranjcar is an Arsenal type player I do not remain convinced that this will happen this summer, although should we be offered something like £12m for him as much as I want to see our best players kept we would have to take it wouldn't we?

Another 'rumour' today is linking Richard Hughes with Palace.

Hughes has said that he is happy with us, and he knows that he is a squad player. I hope that he stays but the possible chance of getting more regular football could tempt him though, particularly if they go up via the play offs so he will stay in the top flight...

All in all these could both happen, but until contracts are signed I will not believe anything!

12M for Niko, whilst a good player I would let him go and bring Gary O back from Boro. That would sort the right side out

No thanks. Admittedly we're not playing well at the moment but we do not need GON or MT back. Trusty servants in their day but as a club we're moving forward.

I could see Kranjcar at Arsenal but the only problem is Wenger is reluctant to spend big money on players.

cant see wenger wanting to spend that much, cant say harry wating to see him leave. hope he doesnt go - as he is exactly the sort of player we need to keep!

If Niko has a good Euros his value will sore. I imagine if the deal is right for all he will go but if not he stays.

i dont want him to go, but if the price is right he will - and i would understand why.
we have missed o'neil more than we have anyone else sold, but he wouldnt come back and as much as i like the fella coming back wouldnt be the right thing for us either - we 'should' be able to fill this problem right sided area this summer...

I don't want Kranjcar to go. the more players we have to replace the more "bedding in" we need to do at the beginning of next season, and that seems to take ages. Unless of course, Harry keeps his word and enlists English Players who are used to playing in the Premier League.

Wenger has been bleating on about the tapping up of Flamini and Hleb, doesn't this smack of a similar vein?

An unexpected visitor

Pompey's Burgess was clearly at a loose end when the game at Crawley was postponed. That much was initially obviously with the level of desire to be involved in footie later revealed.

Cook - no need for a prolific marksman

Cook has said Pompey's lack of a 25 goal striker - I still think we have one - isn't going to impact on our promotion chances. I can see both sides of Cookie's opinion here to be fair.
