Vital Pompey working with Meridian - conclusion

Vital Pompey working with Meridian - conclusion

As you are aware, or were at least made aware last week Vital Pompey - and some of its members - and Meridian TV had been working together on a feature on FA cup final tickets, and the touting this can involve - to see the pre event article again click here.

Well, this programme was screened on Meridian Tonight last Friday. Do not fear if you missed it as you can still view this at www.itvlocal.com/meridian, to save you the trouble of having to root around for the link this has been sorted for you - it is well worth a watch guys.

Elisa Mitchell - an awarded Journalist - and her team worked with Vital Pompey to gather information and then share it with everyone, warning them of the pitfalls of using the 'black market' to get your cup final tickets. The feature might have only been around 6 minutes - although she admitted herself it could have easily been a 30 minute special - but it was full of useful facts and information, and I feel portrayed this site in a very, very good light, which is how it should be as this is more than merely 'a fans forum'...

Clearly these forms of touting, no matter how wrong they are will always happen, just - as we have kept saying - be careful as you never know what you are getting yourself into!

Should anyone have any further problems, or hear of anyone that does please put them in touch with me as you could still get some help, if nothing else to at least try to reclaim your money. Elisa told us: 'if anyone has any problems with Paperticket after my item has gone out - please get them to contact me - I WILL get their tickets for them.

'I have asked them to guarantee that the people who have already bought tickets will get them - otherwise they'll be done for fraud! He sounded pretty shaky on the phone so I don't reckon he'll want to cross us again!'

So guys, do come to us as Vital Pompey does look out for its members well being, and not just in terms of offering you a place to go and share your views, we also try to help guard you against the scum that are out there looking to exploit you!

Well done to all those concerned. A difficult job weeding out these rogues. No doubt the authoritites do not have the manpower to justify the ends. As long of course you ain't doing 34mph in a 30 because that is real criminal these days!

Matt that is very true the authorities have the powers, legislation and rules, but no resources. A Hampshire Police spokesman was not aware of the provisions of the Violent Crimes Reduction Act 2006 and sections relating to football segregation and we were But they claim as you say they do not have the manpower. Just to echo what Rug says if any member has problems Elisa will deal with it.

Well done everyone; a great watch; could easily have been turned in to a 30 minute special. Perhaps there is a part 2 to come?

On this day in history...27th May

A look back at this day in history, and what was happening with Pompey courtesy of our sister site PompeyRama, 27th May.

Chesterfield's O'Shea targeted

Although so far Pompey have had two bids turned down for Chesterfield's O'Shea. Will, assuming another bid (as it's expected) is made, it be third time luck for the Blues?

It wasn't Real Madrid but Bristol City isn't bad!

Contrary to what I just wrote (muppet that I am) this isn't at Fratton this is at Ashton Gate with Pompey heading to Bristol City on Saturday 30th July, with a 3pm kick-off.

Liverpool goalie keen on Pompey return

Will he get this chance though? I think we could quite safely say he'll not be in the Liverpool 1st team next season and Pompey want a goalie so could this be Ryan Fulton...
