This has made my day guys, and I hope that this does become the case.
Peter Storrie has told The News that Linvoy Primus 'deserves' a new contract, so it is looking like he will get one for next season: 'we will be looking at the players who are out of contract at some point over the next few weeks.
'We will certainly look after Linvoy - he has been a great servant to the club and we will be sitting down with him as and when the time is right.
'Linvoy is certainly one who deserves to remain with the club.
'We haven't met with anybody regarding new contracts yet, but my personal opinion is he is one player we will definitely support as a club'.
I sincerely hope that Storrie follows up with these words with actions as if anyone deserves a new contract then Primus does as he is an absolute legend, the greatest of role models there could be and a great ambassador to Portsmouth Football Club - and he is not a bad footballer either is he!
Primus has been written off time after time, but always comes back bigger, stronger and better than ever. Should he sign this contract - which I cannot see being a problem as long as it is offered to him - he would again be written off by many as he will probably be down the selection order, but I would not bet against him getting his place back as if Harry Redknapp picks on merit, which to be honest is not always the case then it will be hard to keep Primus out once he returns.
The community shield has always been Primus' targeted date so this gives us even more incentive to now go on and lift the FA cup in a few weeks time as I for one will be going to the game - should we make it - as Primus is an absolute icon of mine so I would love to see him make his long awaited return - fingers crossed...
As for Storrie's thoughts on other 'out of contract players' off the top of my head I cannot think of any others, well apart from Kanu but does he really have anything to worry about?

im sure he'll have a great final, shame it'll be from the bench tho BlueAmigo isnt it as he'll not be playing again until next season.
