Bremen looking at Baros

Bremen looking at Baros

The 'should we should we not' sign Milan Baros debate could have taken another twist with Werder Bremen manager Claus Allofs telling SportBild that they are interested in him: 'we are considering the possible signings of players like John Carew or Milan Baros'.

I do like Baros and feel that he has improved with games with Pompey, but I am just not entirely sure if a fee of around £6m - which I would suspect he would commend - would be best spent in this instance?

He has worked tirelessly and probably helped bring the best out of Jermain Defoe but with others that 'might' be available this money could be better spent elsewhere perhaps, well that is just one thought that I now have.

I guess we will find out soon enough what the future will hold for Baros and if this future will be at Fratton Park or not...

one of those players Baros, he could really be a top striker but he seems to fall short so often doesn't he?

too many fouls, too many handballs, too many dives, not enough effort, not enough evidence that he could succeed. plays a similer role to nugent, but he (baros) isnt as good, isnt as young, and hasnt signed perminantly.

I really like Baros, but he hasn't been in good form for a while now.

Sorry I like Baros, loads of effort and skill and learning to fit in. Needs a goal desperately for his confidence. Worth ₤6million though?

I'm with Dave on Baros. But.......if Big John Crew were available, a big battering ram up top with Defoe, that could be good.

Carpet I think you will find that baros is the one with the 1 in 2 international goal ratio. Nugent is an embarrasing failure in my view, he seems to slip up whenever he is in the penatly area- must be the drink. Can't see Baros joining a german team, the czechs have hated them since the war.

Let him go to Germany, SIX MILLION!!! phew! that would have brought us Kenwyne Jones last summer. No contest, sorry im just not a Baros fan, too little effort, too little return in goals.

Absoutely no chance of us keeping baros. Once you take your rose coloured glasses off you will see he is a Harry stop gap. Rather have him now than not, especially with the what we have at stake. BUT come the summer, outside the really, really big clubs in Europe, we can have who suits us, especially when we win the cup.

No effort... come on fellas he can't be critiised for that one, he works tirelessly and has done in vitually ever game he has played. Nugent better ? I'd like to think he could be but Baros has made more of a contribution that Nugent this year. The questions are... is Baros the perfect partner for Defoe, Is he worth £6million and could that money be better spent .. the answers in my book are No, No and yes ..but not on Crouch !.. I'll think he'll go in the summer..
