Pompey competition update #33

Vital Fantasy Football - 'Pompey mini league'

There was no change in the Vital Fantasy Football 'Pompey mini league' this week as Crazy Cats retained top spot for a 2nd week running on 1252pts in total. The Pompey Chimes stayed in 2nd, also for a 2nd week running with 1215pts in total, with maradona_kebab staying it 3rd for a 4th game running on 1202pts in total.

Crazy Cats, The Pompey Chimes and maradona_kebab and are all in the top 50 of over 4900 entries overall - in 6th, 30th and 49th places respectively - congratulations fellas.

I know it is a bit late in the day now but you can still enter a team by going to www.vitalfantasyfootball.co.uk. If you do, also get yourself into the mini league to by using these details.

I was again a non-mover in 9th spot in the Pompey mini league, but I was up from 549th - 531st place overall.

'Pompey predictions league'

Not what we were expecting in the Pompey Predictions League for the Newcastle game is what I will say...

Only pentonpompey and pompeygray picked up any points this week as they both went for a draw, each fancying a 1-1 outcome so gained 2pts each.

This meant little change full stop, let alone in the top 3 as steaming remained top for a 4th game running, remaining on 83pts overall. Pompeyrug retained 2nd spot, also for a 4th game running, staying on 74pts overall. Chix kept 3rd spot for an 11th game running, he too remaining on his previous 68pts in total.

The season may be drawing to a close now, but if you missed out on predicting for the Newcastle game, as well as any others it is never too late - just start with your predictions for the next with Citeh on Sunday. So if you have not already made your predictions on this game with Citeh do it here.

I'm running out of games to catch Steaming and Rug... Looks like I'll have to settle for 3rd unless we win 11-0 on Sunday and the entire team score ... At least third gets me a champions league spot !

3rd gets you a champions league spot and the runners up prize - as i clearly cannot award myself a prize if i finish runner up... can i?

Evans - Right back or right midfield?

Drew Talbot and Adam Buxton are fit but Gareth Evans continues to fill in at right back. Should this change? If so where would it leave the battle between Evans and Carl Baker?
