Cup final - ticket details announced

In a stadium that holds 90,000 people Pompey have, as expected, been allocated just 25,000 tickets for the FA cup final with Cardiff - well actually less than 25,000... we were expecting this though really weren't we. But having 40,000 tickets go to fans other than Pompey and Cardiff is ludicrous isn't it?

Tickets will cost £95, £80, £60 and £35 for adults and £85, £70, £50 and £25 for concessions (aged 16 and under and 60 and over), but the £95 ones are said to be 'extremely limited'.

Full details of how tickets will be issued are set to be announced by the club on Monday - be prepared for a mass 'free fall all' though guys, after season ticket holders of course, and rightfully so.

We will again be wearing all blue, we have the same end as we did for the semi final and will also be using the same dressing room, so lets hope these are all good omens...

Its amazing how they can run a profitable fixture for the semi final with the prices we had to pay last week, but now exploit the situation for the final. Still won't stop us all clambering for tickets again obviously, but no doubt the programmes will go up another fiver as well. Does anyone know why we will be in all blue, when Cardiff are going to be in all black. Surely we should be in our normal home kit. In know historically due to black and white tv we can't have white shorts when another team has them i.e. like last week, but can't for the life of me see why we can't have our traditional blue, white, red.

Free prawn sandwiches with every ticket apparently. Comedy comedy prices....both teams haven't had the pleasure of a Final in decades so they know we'd both sellout if they put them out at £250 a ticket.....it's exploitation I tell's yer!
Tantona
Apparently Peter Storrie won the toss for Home team and we chose to play in all blue. Not sure why of course.
eastneydave
perhaps as it would be unfair to have one team playing in their home strip, they decided that we should play in all blue as opposed to our full home kit, just a thought
jbaker
maybe storrie thought it would be a good luck omen to play in all blue?
ticket prices are apparently in line with what they were for united v chelski last season - its quite a price hike, but if people can be exploited they will be, and as you say Tantona the FA know we will pay it... programmes are also up from a fiver to a tenner for the final.
pompeyrug
Captive audience, hence the hike, oh and the added catche. The Noise will still be deafning though even with a smaller allocation....40,000 Prawn munchers chomping on their sandwiches. I see that Pompey are quick to point out that the most expensive seats are scarce, well we all know who's got those!!!!

It's a one off. We have waited all our lives for this & what is happening, has always & will continue to do so. We are there, we will win, it will be a magical life moment, stop finding fault.
storagematt
Dosn't mean to say you have to be shafted tho does it?
pentonpompey
tickets will be re-sold for even more money. who would you rather get hold of the cash? pompey (and the FA) or those profit mungering... anyway, its our "lucky" all blue kit - which should counterthere "lucky" black kit...
pompeycarpet
as well, cardiff chose to wear black against barnsley when they culd have worn blue, so its not really a surprise that they dont mind playing not playing in their home colours!
