Yep we all want to go to the FA cup final to watch Pompey hopefully lift one of the worlds premier cup competitions, and many of us will go to the extreme to do this but just be wary of where and how you try to get hold of your tickets guys.
I say this as there is currently a thread in the forum - click here - that has recently been brought to my attention. I would check it out guys if I were you.
This is a concern for me, I do not know the full details but as much as you might want that cup final ticket just be careful who is used to obtain this - I mean in general, not just anyone mentioned in particular. I do not know any real background for those mentioned, so I cannot really comment too much, nor would I want to as you do have to be careful what you say without any evidence.
I know we are not stupid, but in the haste to try and obtain this cup final ticket do not jump in head first without at least testing the water. Would it be best to get that cup final ticket and then maybe find out you are being done or would you rather miss out on this chance and know that you are guarded against anything untoward? I know what I would prefer even taking into account how much I want to be at Wembley again...
There is a saying that is often used, 'if something is to good to be true it often is', and although this is not always the case it is mostly true. The prices of tickets might not exactly make them 'too good to be true' but without knowing who you are dealing with you are always taking a risk.
Details for the Final allocation should be announced in the next few days, it is anybodies guess what the arrangements will be. It may be a once in a lifetime experience but as said just be wary of the route you take...
That is enough from me, but eastneydave recommends the following actions to help protect you.
Use the Internet to research the company you are thinking of buying from, put the company name into Google (or another Search Engine) and see if there are any warnings. Use a credit card to purchase as they afford you greater protection. Guard your personal information, do not give your credit card number unless making a purchase and if entering credit card details ensure the page is secure - these pages have 'https' in front of the web address and a yellow padlock symbol at the bottom of your browser. Guard against identity theft never give your National Insurance number or Passport number.
Make a note of the address of the company you are dealing with and remember nice looking web pages do not mean nice company!! Anyone can knock them up these days.
PLAY UP POMPEY!
