Remaining semi tickets sell out

Remaining semi tickets sell out

The final 1,180 tickets for this weekend's semi final with West Brom have now sold, with the final tickets purchase around midday today.

In order to obtain one of these remaining tickets you had to queue up at the ticket office and hope to be within this amount - with 2 tickets per person it does not take a genius to work out that to have any chance, assuming each person took their allotted 2 tickets, you would have had to be the 590th person at least in the queue… a queue which started forming as long ago as Sunday, but really gathered momentum from Monday night - my hat goes off to those of you that have done this.

So that is it, all 33,000 tickets have sold out - no doubt we will see a fair few change hands on the black market but as far as a 'legitimate sale' goes that is your lot, these will be no more.

We are now on the home straight to Wembley, hopefully if you really, really wanted a ticket and really, really deserved it you have got one? We just have to count down the days now until the main event - god it better not be a disappointment after all of this!

So come on then lets see a show of hands 'who is going to Wembley?' - Out of those going who queued up to get a ticket today?

Makes you glad you can be season ticket holder in times like this. Some clubs have more season ticket holders than the allocation. Imagine the pain of not getting a ticket then?

we are extremely lucky to have this advantage, although it will still be amazingly tough come the final, should we get there!

we sold more tickets than that could fill our stadium ... what does that say about new support or continued support and a real need to get this bloody new stadium up and running!!! good effort from these people who waited, we really are the best fans in the country! im tempted to get a season ticket for next year? where is the best place to get a seat these days. most are £600 but I dont know the blocks/areas that well.

Has anyone discovered what kit we are playing in on the big day, are we wearing the white or the black shirts?

the new (bigger) stadium...one problem, is that it would presumably be (at least) 36000 people. getting that many for one match (that happens to be the FA cup semifinal, and our first trip to wembly in god knows how long) is no problem...but getting that many every week?!? thats twice our average atendance at fratton park!

Very true carpet, we have to be top 8'ish to draw aregular crowd of that size, and also we would need the away team to take their full allocation. I love the thought of a bigger ground, full and bouncing, but we have a long way to go.

if we get a 36,000 capacity, the odds are we would average 23-25,000 I reckon, when Manu Liverpool etc come down it would sell out, but without that capability we will never grow will we?
