Pompey competition update #31

Vital Fantasy Football - 'Pompey mini league'

There was no change in the Vital Fantasy Football 'Pompey mini league' this week as The Pompey Chimes retained top spot for a 2nd game running with 1156pts in total, Crazy Cats remained in 2nd place, also for a 2nd game running on 1147pts in total, which meant maradona_kebab stayed in 3rd, again for a 2nd game running on 1121pts in total.

The Pompey Chimes, Crazy Cats and maradona_kebab and are all in the top 50 of almost 4900 entries overall - in 11th, 20th and 43rd places respectively - congratulations fellas.

'Pompey predictions league'

It was a good week for most in the Pompey Predictions League for the Wigan game, with a fair few people picking up points.

6pts was the highest haul this week with 7 people managing to achieve this feat, most due to selecting a win and at least 1 goal for Jermain Defoe.

So there was no change in the top 3 as steaming remained top for a 2nd game running, 6pts saw him onto 81pts overall. Pompeyrug retained 2nd spot for a 2nd game running, again 6pts took him onto 72pts overall. Chix kept 3rd spot for a 9th game running, 6pts from him took him onto 68pts in total.

The Wigan game also saw the end of the month, so it is monthly winner time again - steaming again claimed this with 25pts throughout March.

If you missed out on predicting for the Wigan game, as well as any others it is never too late - just start with your predictions for the next with West Ham the Tuesday after the FA cup semi final. So if you have not already made your predictions on this game with West Ham do it here.

oooops, forgot to predict our last two games. shame, as i would have got maximum points against spurs (but none against wigan), as i was confident we would loose...(well, about as confident as i w of us loosing every single other game this season...). oh well.

I'm just sooo bad at predicting! Still mid table with nothing to play for, no relagation battle, that'll do me.

you 'might' - altho unlikely! - still catch me but steaming has got this one in the bag now i reckon... im gonna have to dig deep and pick out a couple of spot on predictions for some bonus points to have any hope of catching him now.

What are the prizes, if any? Is there a wooden spoon?

Evans - Right back or right midfield?

Drew Talbot and Adam Buxton are fit but Gareth Evans continues to fill in at right back. Should this change? If so where would it leave the battle between Evans and Carl Baker?
