Well fellas were are all but there now, Wembley is just over a week away now, those that have not managed to secure tickets yet will be hard pushed to do so without paying over the odds as tickets in phases 1, 2, 3 & 4 have all gone on sale and all sold out in quick time.

There will be no more frantic phoning for tickets from Ticketmaster, no more problems with the online system apparently not working, that's the lot, we are finished with this process - which in essence did boil down to a phone lottery, some were winners, some were not but with every winner someone does have to lose too…

1,180 tickets will be on sale from the ticket office on a first come first served basis next Wednesday, but this will be a battle to camp out and queue up for these, so I wish those that still have not got a ticket and desperately want one, and what is more deserve one, have luck here but it will be tough, very, very tough.

For those of us that have secured a ticket all that remains to be done is sort out the travel plans, but again most would have already looked into, if not secured this as well… I would hope so anyway. I say that is all that needs to be done, of course those that have not yet had their tickets delivered just need to wait for them, and this is an anxious wait isn't it!

So we are almost there, it is almost time for a sea of blue - the blue of Pompey and West Brom of course - to descend on Wembley and what a day it promises to be eh. However we do of course have a league game this weekend, which is a game we should be looking to win, and we really ought to.

The most important thing is to come through the game with Wigan at Fratton Park this weekend without any major concerns, but it would also be a boost if we could head off to Wembley with a victory under our belts, and I reckon we will get this, even if the team is changed somewhat this weekend. We will not be wholesale changes but no risks will be taken.

If you have not already made your predictions in the Pompey predictions league on this game with Wigan, do it here.

Time to rest Jamo & Niko. If Sol ain't quite right rest him too. Diarra won't be risked, play the squad players. Defoe will chomping at the bit & will score again. The bruisers from Wigan maybe a bit too desperate for the points & this game really isn't worth worrying about when you think of the value of next Saturday's cup game.

Have people started booking their train tickets then? Whats the plan? I really want to meet up with a number of you guys from Vital - putting faces to names would be good. Can we have something written about the plans Rug?

Good Luck. I'm rooting for you to go all the way. It would be the least 'Arry deserves.

sneakay there has been information provided by the 'sunday toast' team in a special weekday 'toast' report that will be added shortly, giving details of travel arrangements, what is good, and what is bad and so on...
as for a vital pompey wembley meet up this could be possible, what i will do is get the 'toast' advice added 1st, then will produce an article basically inviting suggestion people might have for a potential vital gathering prior/after the game, then it'll be taken from there.

Thanks for the good wishes BoroJoe. Nice to know you are rooting for us! I spoke to Ticket Master today regarding the despatch of my tickets. According to the chap I spoke to, my tickets were sent yesterday and should be delivered by tomorrow (Friday) by Royal Mail recorded delivery. Hopefully then, those of us lucky enough to have got tickets should be getting them very soon now. Fingers crossed!
