Harry: Give me a chance

Harry has told the national paper that he would take Pompey back up if he was given the chance.

'I will take responsibility if we go down and, God forbid that happens, I will bring the club back up or die trying if I'm allowed to.'

'If people think I'm going looking for excuses they don't know me,' Redknapp told The Sunday Mirror.

'Nobody needs to talk to me about pressure, try talking to my poor wife,' added Redknapp.

'I can't sleep, everything is going round and round in my head and the wife is worried sick I'm going to drop down dead at any moment.

'I'll be damned if I do and damned if I don't, it's as simple as that.

'Naturally I'm disappointed that we've struggled but I will not throw in the towel. I will battle on like my life depends on it.

'Nothing will give me greater pleasure if I can keep this club up and without any exaggeration it will rank among my biggest achievements in the game.'

i hope he does stay. Do u?
lmatthews
Yes me too, because it will vindicate him should he go on to get us back into (or better still remain in) the Prem. League.
pompeygray
I hope he stay's and if we go down give him the chance to redeem him self and get us back to where we belong. He has done before and can do it again.
nelson
yer agree he obv loves our club
lmatthews
The final say may yet come from a Red source !! He may well say when the time comes "You MOSCOW now"
pompeygray
Its time to put the Judas and Scummer taunts in the cupboard and unite behind Harry and the good times. If we have to take a step back, we should step back With Harry not against him. He does love this club, unfortunately some fans refuse to believe it. I want him here too, its about time Milan got to hear the Possitve Fans Views, and not just the negative ones views
Terence
Harry "The Saviour" Redknapp The only manager who could and would take up the challenge of saving us. He needs more time to rebuild.
PompeyMutly
Harry has the knowledge in how to get back into the Premiership if we went down. He is also the best manager in persuding players to stay at this club so hopefully the back bone of our players wouldn't be sold.
nelson
I want Harry to change his surname to BLUEKNAPP....Now that could be TAYLOR made. O'NEILL Sir Harry you are on PRIMUS TV.
pompeygray
Isnt it about time we ALL stood united behind the team and the Leader? That is Harry. Are we really too stupid, and too stubbourn to let Harry Mistake haunt both Him and us forever? We need to get behind harry now, and show HIM support, for showing faith. We need to hear Harry Redknapps Blue and White Army, ringing out from the rafters, so that the Premiership know WE ARE BACK, WE ARE UNITED, WE ARE ONE, WE ARE UNDIVIDED. Too bad if Johnny Westwood isnt happy about it, he should think himself lucky that Milan spoke up in his favour so he could still watch Pompey play. HARRY REDKNAPPS BLUE AND WHITE ARMY... Clap Clap... Clap Calp Calp. you know you miss hearing it too....
Terence
100% True Terence. Milan has always said it's the fans club not his and certainly not John Westwood;s and that bloody bugle and bell. If he states that he is the voice behind the fans then he should be singing for Harry. True loyal fans want to hear Harry's voice echo around Fratton Park again. He is in the monority, most fans love the fact Harry came back to try and save us.
nelson
I don't want you guys to go down. It'd be bad for south coast football to have a team outside the prem
Adie
Agree Harry needs us as much as we need him. It was a succesful partnership that had a separation and a reunification. Give him the chance he deserves to put things back in order next season. Do we really want the likes of Tony Pulis or Graham Rix or somebody worse pulling the strings that Harry holds. Some folk have short memories....it is NOT his fault.
pompeygray
Well, time will tell. I think he's just biding his time until he can come back to where his heart really lies.....
