Lua: I'll Stay Whatever

Lua Lua would like a new contract even if Portsmouth get relegated.

'I want to stay at Portsmouth and I want a new contract,' he told the Sunday Mirror.

'I'm not the type of person to go banging on the chairman's door but if he wanted to offer me something I would love to talk to him.'

I am going to speak on behalf of all Portsmouth fans here and say to Milan, GIVE HIM A NEW CONTRACT!! Please.

Let me know what you think about this, personally I think Lua Lua would be the sort of player who would rip the championship apart.

He knows that Tottenham want him but he would rather play for Pompey in whatever division there in.

Gotta keep him regardless, he's a world beater on his day!

By Keeping Lua Lua along with Toddy & Pericard those 3 will terrorise defence's in the Championship.

There is only O'Neil, Taylor, Ashdown, Toddy, Linvoy andf Pericard with Championship experience. As we all know it's a different game altogether.
nelson
yer but how many of them will go?

I think Lua will stay it's not the first time he has told the press how much he loves playing in front of us fans. He also knows his family are fully settled in this area and knows how loyal PFC has been to him in supporting him with 2 x ANC, his malaria, and the tragic lose of his son. If he stay's I think more will follow in his belief that we will return to the Premiership. I can't see GON or MT or even JA staying if we drop down to the Championship.
nelson
It is vital that we keep as many of the loyal and good players as possible. Constant mass changes, that we have witnessed all too often is disruptive to the team.

agree i think ja wud stay

If the likes of lomana stay on it could have the roll on effect and encourage others that a season in the Championship could be something to savour.

Lua Lua will stay as will the new signings. As per Fred Dinnage interview last week on the quay. He said that the Players that signed in January ALL signed knowing we could go down, and agreed to give us 18 months service not 6 months. Gaydamac's only proviso was that Harry should only sign players willing to give us 18 months, and not sign those looking for a 6 month stage to advertise themselves on. Therefore, those players that "Got Away", may actually have been let go, as they would not commit to the 18 month agreement. :-) If Fred was quoting FATC and not just his beliefs, the we DO have a team to be reckond with, not just a few players. It also gives weight to WHY HARRY MUST STAY.

Pure Speculation. Will Lua Lua really stay with us if for instance Spurs came in for him. Love or loyalty versus exposure and cash. When we go down, sorry if we go down, Milan will probably think to himself "I thought I sold my 50% shares at the right time, afterall I am a businessman, even though I love this club....at least I am cutting my losses and getting something out of it, you know like a dividend". But Milan should be remembered most of all because without him we would possibly be out of existence and he did give us a fairy tale story, he took us into the Premiership with Harry by his side. Please let history repeat itself........
