No risks with Diarra

Lassana Diarra has pulled out of the French squad that will be facing England tomorrow due to his hamstring problem, which also caused him to miss the weekend game with Spurs.

He is now a doubt for the weekend, but Harry Redknapp will not be looking to take any chances on him so he is likely to leave him out come what may to ensure he is fit for the semi final with West Brom a week later.

There is better news regarding Sol Campbell though, he is back in training after his knee problem and should return to lead the side against Wigan at Fratton Park on Saturday.

look after him, he's coming back to SB one day!
merlin
The next time he & we come to SB is to pick up the points we should have had last August. Yes wrap him up for WBA, he's a little diamond.

Lucky charm for cup games, keep him rested.

he certainly has a phenomenal success record in cup competitions. Rest the whole squad aainst WAFC for all i care, I want us to win the cup. In the words of the mighty Morrisey..."Please please please let me get what I want this time"

diarra wont be going back to chelski anytime soon, maybe one day but quite a way down the line i reckon... yep wrap him up safe and sound for west brom, maybe another couple 'could' be saved but i still want to go out and do wigan at the weekend, as much as i want to win the cup i dont want to just forget about the league.
pompeyrug
Yep, bad enough that we can't play Jermain, don't want Diarra to miss out too.
Tantona
I still want to beat Wigan though, we need to go to Wembley on a real high, and a good win would be perfect, and then we can play the first team, apart from Defoe.

The League is important but the Cup is No.1 priority, particularly as it means a route to Europe which 6th place no longer guarantees. I don't care if we finish 10th as long as we get our hands on the Cup again. Don't forget that in 1939 we were a lot lower in the league then.
pompeygray
We need to finish strong in the league, otherwise all the hard work will have been wasted. The money reflects the finishing position as well doesnt it?
