Campbell likely to miss Spurs game

Campbell likely to miss Spurs game

Something that I am sure the vast majority of Spurs fans will be highly disappointed about is the news that Sol Campbell is likely to miss the trip to White Hart Lane this weekend…

The usual 'Judas' bashing will have to be put aside, or at least reserved for a player that will not be taking part, as by the looks of it - and reading between the lines of what is being quoted - his knee injury appears as though it will keep him out, so rather than take any risks it seems that Harry Redknapp will save him for Wigan the week after, if not - and probably more likely - resting him until the semi final with West Brom the week after that.

Hermann Hreidarsson filled in against Villa, as he probably will again against Spurs, and in all fairness to the fella he did a fantastic job, as again in fairness he has every time he has been asked to play in central defence this season, which is probably his best position anyway.

Well the defence boys did well against Villa & though Barbietov & UnKeane are a huge threat, we will cope. No doubt JD will get all the abuse from the spuds along with a few others with gooners past. As long as Sol is 110% for Wembley, why worry.

on any other day, i would have suggested cranie...but hreiderson genuinly did such a great job against spurs, that i would hate to see him cut out of the team!

To be honest with Sol missing it will take that disgusting hatred out of the home crowd. I think Spurs fans love JD and will give him a good welcome.

We still must be aware of Barbeydoll and UnKeane. Spurs at 1.90 and us at 3.65 looks a bit lopsided, but without Muntari and now Sol, we may have to go into the game as underdogs.

If he played they just keep shouting Judas at him, and the fact half our squad once played for arsenal doesnt help...

Worthy of a new deal?

So, Danny Rose, as we know, isn't going to play again this season. As things stand this would mean he'll not pull on a Pompey shirt again as his contract expires in the summer.

Sickening Rotherham winner

Losing on Saturday was bad enough, the fact this was an added time winner more so. The cherry on the cake was the fact Rotherham's goal came from ex-Pompey full back Joe Mattock.
