'If It's Football, It's Vital'

No to Gam£ 39 meetings move on

The Football Supporters Federation - FSF - 'No To Gam£ 39' action meetings taking place against the proposed '39th game' overseas are moving on to Yorkshire, Humberside & North Midlands tonight, Thursday 21st at 7.30pm and onto Birmingham tomorrow, Friday 22nd at 7.30pm.

Action meetings have already taken place in the North West, London and the Northeast. For more details on the FSF action meetings click here.

Despite Fifa present Sepp Blatter recently expressing his opposition to the idea Premier League chief executive Richard Scudamore is refusing to let his 'game 39' proposal go and the Football Association are hearing more on his proposal today, with it expected that a year-long consultation with the Premier League on the idea will then take place.

With Blatter against the idea, this does help but these action meetings will also help, but to make sure they do even more as many people as possible must attend to give us even more chance of getting this absurd proposal thrown out - as it should be - once and for all.

Remember these petitions are currently up and running, so if you have not yet signed sign them and want to do so now...

*note* i am fully against the "game 39" proposals - HOWEVER, it is important that the premier league continiue there attempts to get it, as a show of defiance against sepp blatter. What the PL does, and where the world cup are held should be kept ENTIRELY seperate, and so it is important for scudmore, however much of a lowlife, money driven, passionless peice of... he is, he HAS, just HAS to stick with his proposals, or he is showing that fifa and blaterr have EVEN MORE controll over anything to do with football than they do already.

You just feel the greedy ba5tards in the game who care more about the explotation of it will get their way & we the majority without real power can scream as much as we like & be treated like mushrooms. Kept in the dark & fed 5h1t.

I have seen reports of the London meet and only 40 turned up! But the fans are still against it. Sorry NK19.

NK19; would you turn up to see a Wigan V Derby game in Sydney and pay $100 a ticket? I'm sure I wouldn't but thats the sort of match we would be likely to get and the sort of price a ticket would be. The clubs probably wouldn't send their best team even then.

Just to digress a little; the Gold Coast Galaxy (Australia) was yesterday granted a license to play in the Australian A league from next season. This is the team Kanu had supposedly been approached by. I have just read a list of players ready to sign and players who had been approached to sign from both within Australia and all overseas countries. It was the official list not just newspaper compiled. Nowhere was it shown that Kanu or his agent nor any other African player had been approached.

frattonaussie to be quite honest i love the epl and i watch any game really on foxsports and yes i would go to sydney to see wigan vs derby and pay $100, its better than watching 2nd rate players playing in the A-League which is S**T
NK19
isnt $100 australian dollars only £20 sterling? surely it would be more than that... and anyway FA have rejected the plan, so everyone can forget about gam£ 39
jbaker
Thank feck for that.
