Glen Johnson returned in place of Lauren - who dropped to the bench, and with Noe Pamarot injured Sylvain Distin returned. Hermann Hreidarsson retained his place, so Lucien Aubey had to be content with a place on the bench. Richard Hughes also dropped to the bench as Sulley Muntari made his return after the African nations. Milan Baros was another to drop to the bench and Jermain Defoe was cup-tied so in came John Utaka and Kanu. Sadly Dave Nugent was not fit enough for a place on the bench against his former side.

kanu is holding the ball up well but as he isnt mobile enough we arent really getting anyone in the box - kranchie's ball in early was fantastic, but his lack of mobility saw it wasted... so far so good tho...

Yep, i expect 'arry will be happy enough, but i bet he'd rather win today to avoid a replay, so, how do we score the goal? Kanu is dropping very very deep, so the midfield HAVE to get past him for him to thread the ball through.

afternoon bakes... as i was that defoe would one day sign, ive been convinced that jamie will work alongside 'arry before he quits, to then take over when he does eventually leave - i think jamie talks a good game and would be a good manager.
